At Pink Energy, we know that every home and business owner has a unique set of energy needs. A custom solar panel system can help meet those needs, and we’ve developed a simple, 3-step solar installation process to design the right solar system for your home. Here’s how that process works:

Step
1

Contact The Team

First, request a free solar quote by filling out an online form. You’ll receive a call from one of our solar experts to discuss how solar power could work for your home or business. During this initial qualifying conversation, we’ll evaluate your home and property for potential barriers to a solar panel system. If you qualify, we’ll schedule a free in-home consultation.

Step
2

In-Home Consultation

We’ll send an experienced solar consultant to your home or business to examine your property and your electric bills in person. We’ll review your current energy consumption and your future energy goals to help us determine what size solar system is needed.  From this, we’ll deliver a custom solar proposal, ready for your approval. Once we receive permission from you, we’ll begin installation day preparations.

Step

Solar Installation

On installation day, you can expect a team of professional installers to arrive on time with all required materials. We’ll work carefully and efficiently while installing your solar system, protecting your home and property from damage. In just a day or two, your system will be installed and tested to make sure everything is in working order. With a replacement meter from your utility company, you can begin enjoying the potential savings a solar system can offer!4

Solar Panel Installation FAQs

How much does it cost to install solar panels in Knoxville?

Pink Energy’s solar panel systems are not one size fits all. We create custom solar systems for each customer’s unique energy needs. As such, it’s hard to give an estimate of what your solar panel installation could cost. However, generally the price will depend on your home’s current energy needs, what direction your home faces and how much sunlight your roof receives in addition to other such factors.

Can I install solar panels myself?

It’s possible to do, but we do not recommend it. Pink Energy’s qualified installation teams have the experience needed to ensure your panels are installed properly and in the best position to gather sunlight.

How long does it take to install solar panels?

Our installation team only takes a day or two to have your solar panels up and running. It’s a quick process!

Do I need permission to install solar panels in Knoxville?

Yes, some permits are required to install solar panels. It’s likely your local government has some requirements in place before installation occurs. Pink Energy’s experts will help you with the majority of the permits as part of the installation process.

Does installing solar panels void your roof warranty?

In nearly all cases, your roof warranty should remain intact. As long as the installation team did their job right (and our teams are experts), you shouldn’t have any problems with your roof’s warranty. We recommend that you should always double-check with your roof’s manufacturer or installer to confirm.

What permits do I need to install solar panels in Knoxville?

Permits needed to install solar panels vary by your own local government’s mandates. Your local government and local utility companies likely have specific requirements in place to satisfy local building and electrical codes. As a general rule, you can expect to have to file for a building permit, an electrical permit and possibly a solar photovoltaic (PV) permit.

Can my HOA stop me from installing solar panels in Knoxville?

This varies by neighborhood. However, you can expect to face some pushback from your HOA if your solar panels will face public spaces, such as an HOA-maintained park or road. Pink Energy will work with you to ensure that your solar panels are up to code and satisfy HOA requirements if at all possible!

Can solar panels be installed on a metal roof?

Absolutely! Metal roofs offer a stable surface for solar panel installation, so there should be no problem in having both.
